How listings work

Every profile in this directory follows the same rules, whether it was added by our team, suggested by the community or claimed by an owner.

Where listings come from

Some profiles are created by SendMe Black Connect using limited publicly available business information, so that people searching can find the organization. These are labelled SendMe Added and are unclaimed. An unclaimed listing does not mean the business has approved, partnered with, endorsed or paid SendMe Black Connect in any way.

What the labels mean

  • Community Suggested — submitted by a visitor and not yet reviewed or claimed.
  • SendMe Added — created by our team from limited public information and not yet claimed by the owner.
  • Owner Claimed — an owner or authorized representative has taken control of the profile and maintains its details.
  • SendMe Verified — the owner has claimed the profile and our team has completed additional checks. Verification is not a licence check; always confirm credentials, registration numbers and insurance directly with the provider.

Ownership and heritage claims

We do not display a definitive Black-owned badge until ownership has been confirmed by the owner, or supported by a reliable source reviewed by an administrator. Until then a listing simply appears in the directory with the heritage community it is associated with, and our internal review notes are never published.

Media and content

We do not copy third-party logos, photographs, menus, website descriptions or reviews. Unclaimed profiles use neutral category placeholders until owners provide authorized media and copy.

Corrections and removal

Owners and authorized representatives can claim a profile, suggest a correction or ask for removal at any time. Removal requests from a verified owner or representative are honoured.

Advertising disclosure

SendMe ProMotion and SendMe Radio are part of the same SendMe ecosystem as this directory and are owned by the platform administrator. Featured placements and paid plans are always labelled, and paying for a plan never changes a verification label or buys an endorsement.
